Track Subscriptions Without Giving Away Your Bank Login

· By Pennylume

You can track every subscription without linking your bank. List what you pay for, record the renewal date, and set a reminder before each charge. Dues is a free Android app that does exactly this and keeps the list on your phone.

Why avoid bank-linked trackers?

Some subscription trackers find recurring charges by connecting to your bank and reading your transactions. That means sharing your transaction history with another company. A manual tracker only knows what you tell it, which is often enough: most people have somewhere between a handful and a few dozen subscriptions.

How to find every subscription you pay for

  1. Google Play. Open Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Your inbox. Search your email for "receipt", "renewal", "trial" and "invoice".
  3. Your bank or card statements. Look for the same amount appearing every month or every year.
  4. Other app stores and websites. Apple, streaming sites and software tools bill separately, so check each one.

Write down the name, the price, how often it renews and the next renewal date.

How Dues helps

Dues keeps the list in one place:

  • Your real total. Monthly and yearly totals, with a spending ring by category.
  • Reminders before you are charged, including before a free trial turns into a bill.
  • A renewal calendar showing which day each subscription renews and what is left to pay this month.
  • Real plan prices. Pick your plan from popular services across streaming, music, AI, social and tools.
  • Your currency. Verified local prices in 12 countries (the US, India, the UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Singapore, the UAE, Brazil, Japan and Mexico). Everywhere else, prices are converted at live exchange rates.
  • Export to CSV or delete everything at any time.

Does Dues cancel subscriptions for me?

No. Dues reminds you before you are charged. You cancel with the provider or your app store, then mark the subscription as cancelled in Dues.

What does Dues send over the internet?

Your subscriptions are never sent anywhere. The app downloads a price list from this site, fetches exchange rates, and loads service logos using only the site name. There is no account and there are no ads or trackers. The full list is on the Dues page and in the privacy policy.

Is it open source?

Yes. Dues is open source under the GPL-3.0 license, and the code is on GitHub.
