Dues privacy policy
App: Dues – Subscription Tracker by Pennylume · Last updated: 3 October 2026
Dues helps you keep track of the subscriptions you pay for. We built it so we never receive your data. This policy explains what the app handles and why.
Summary
- No account and no sign-in.
- Your subscriptions, prices, notes and settings are stored on your device. We never receive them.
- We do not run analytics or advertising, and we do not sell or share personal data.
- Dues is free. There are no purchases, ads or accounts.
Data stored on your device
The subscriptions you add (name, price, billing cycle, payment date, list, category, the payment-method label you type, website, notes and price history) and your preferences (country, currency, reminder settings). Your subscriptions are stored on this phone. We never receive them. To show logos, Dues sends each service's website domain (e.g. netflix.com) to Google's favicon service and logo.dev; nothing else about you is sent. Exchange rates and the price list are only downloaded. Uninstalling the app or using Settings → Data → Delete all subscriptions removes it.
Android backup
If Google backup is on in your phone settings, Android keeps an encrypted copy of your Dues data in your Google account. Pennylume can't see it.
Network requests the app makes
To work, the app contacts these services. Like any internet request, they can see your device's IP address. None of them receives your subscription list, prices or notes.
- Price list updates –
dues-app.vercel.app, to download the latest subscription prices. Nothing about you or your subscriptions is sent. - Exchange rates –
open.er-api.com, to show prices in your currency. Only a general request for current rates is sent. - Brand logos –
img.logo.dev(Logo.dev) and Google's favicon service, to show service logos. The website domain of a service (for examplenetflix.com) is sent to fetch its logo.
Notifications
Renewal reminders are scheduled and shown on your device. No notification service or server is involved.
Permissions
- Notifications – only to show the renewal reminders you turn on.
- Internet – for the requests listed above.
Children
Dues is intended for adults managing their own spending and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
You can edit or delete any subscription, turn reminders off, export your data as CSV, or delete everything at any time from inside the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
- 3 October 2026: Clarified what leaves your phone (logo domains; exchange rates and the price list are only downloaded) and added Android backup.
